Ego European Spa is an independently operated day spa located inside the Edge Creekside Hotel in Deira, Dubai. We are not part of the hotel's own facilities or owned by the hotel — we lease space inside the building and operate as a standalone business focused exclusively on European-style massage. Our team consists of Russian and European-trained therapists, multilingual reception staff, and a small editorial team that maintains our journal and treatment information. Decisions about technique, pricing, hygiene protocols, and guest experience are made by our spa management directly, which is why our standards stay consistent regardless of hotel policy. We have one location in Deira and do not operate other Ego-branded spas anywhere in the UAE or abroad.

European-style refers to a specific massage tradition rooted in Swedish, Russian, German, and French therapeutic traditions, distinct from Asian or Thai styles. It emphasises long flowing strokes, careful pressure calibration, premium oils, and a quiet meditative atmosphere over loud music or high-volume guest throughput. European training also focuses on individualised consultation rather than templated services — every session begins with a brief discussion of pressure preferences, sensitive areas, and goals. At Ego European Spa, all therapists trained in this tradition before joining the team, which is why guests notice consistent technique quality across the menu. The eight techniques we offer (Swedish, Hot Stone, Aroma, Deep Tissue, Lomi Lomi, Four Hand, Couple, Bamboo) all follow the same European-style consultation, draping, and recovery-time conventions.

Bamboo sticks, basalt stones, and any reusable equipment are deep-cleaned and disinfected between guests — bamboo with a sealed lacquer finish that does not absorb oils, stones rinsed and reheated in clean water. Therapists wash hands thoroughly before and after every session and follow draping conventions that keep guests properly covered at all times. The treatment rooms are climate-controlled, ventilated, and cleaned daily. If you ever have a hygiene concern during your visit, mention it to reception and it will be addressed immediately.

Yes — first-time spa visitors are one of our largest guest groups, and the consultation process is specifically designed to make first sessions comfortable. When you arrive, you have ten minutes to settle in our reception area before your therapist greets you for a brief private consultation about pressure preferences, any sensitive areas, language preference, and goals for the session. From there you change into a robe in private, lie under a clean sheet on the table, and the therapist works through your chosen technique. You are properly draped at all times. Most first-timers choose Swedish or Aroma — both are gentle, predictable, and require no prior spa experience. After the session, you have unhurried recovery time before re-dressing. The full experience including consultation and recovery takes about 75 minutes for a 60-minute treatment.
